Slipping

What is this? Yet another self indulgent translation of a LQG/SQQ fic? That’s right. I need to provide my own goddamn content, okay?

Bang! The door of the bamboo house was once again gloriously sacrificed.

Face calm, Liu Qingge retracted his raised foot and called into the house, “Shen Qingqiu, is he here?”

He inspected the interior but didn’t find the figure in green he was seeking.

Happening to pass by, Ning Yingying stared numbly at the shattered bamboo door decorating the ground, internally furiously sputtering.

Liu-shishu, can you please knock on the door properly? Why do you always need to use your foot to kick it down? The bamboo door is also extremely pitiful alright!? Do you know how many doors met their demise beneath your feet? Let’s be more civilized, okay? If this continues, An Ding Peak is going to file a complaint!

Although she was badmouthing her in her heart, she still answered Liu Qingge with a respectful attitude, “Liu-shishu, shizun is training Luo-shidi in the bamboo forest at the rear of Qing Jing peak.”

As soon as the words fell, Liu Qingge swept past her, heading straight towards the rear mountain.

Ning Yingying eyed the bamboo door that lay in pieces on the ground, and resigned herself to making a trip to An Ding peak.

The bamboo on the backside of Qing Jing peak all grew extremely well, each stalk verdant and soaring into the clouds. A breeze swept through the boughs of the bamboo forest, the rustling of the leaves afforded the entire peak an incredibly serene atmosphere.

Liu Qingge walked along the small path carved through the bamboo forest and spotted the figure he sought amidst a field of greenery.

What he saw was Shen Qingqiu training Luo Binghe’s footwork and martial arts.

Watching Luo Binghe running into his arms for the nth time, even wrapping his arms about his waist, Shen Qingqiu’s heart was both resigned and on the verge of breakdown.

Bingge, thought you’re still in your early stages and your golden finger hasn’t activated, but you shouldn’t be still failing after so many tries right!? You’re the protagonist- the protagonist! Your talents are exceptional, shouldn’t a trifling trick like this be mastered on the first go for you? What are you doing crashing into me for two weeks on end?  My waist also hurts, okay?!

Shen Qingqiu looked down at the child at his waist, wanting to use a couple words to chide him, but Luo Binghe raised his head and stared at him with tearful eyes filled with grievances and remorse.

Shizun I’m sorry, I’m too useless, my foot slipped. I’ve disappointed shizun’s teachings, I’ll go run twenty laps around Qing Jing peak as punishment.”

Shen Qingqiu couldn’t bear to let his admonishments leave his lips. He sighed helplessly and patted Luo Binghe’s head, “The fault is not yours, no need to punish yourself with running. You can return and get some rest.”

Forget it, it doesn’t matter if he learns or not, it’s not as if helping Binghe master the technique will prevent Bing-ge from deciding to flay him into a human stick. Except… being unable to teach the protagonist properly is really demoralizing!

Hearing these words, Luo Binghe’s tears abated and he smiled at Shen Qingqiu sweetly, “Thank you shizun, but this disciple isn’t tired, let’s continue!” but he didn’t have the slightest inclination to remove himself from Shen Qingqiu’s arms.

Once Liu Qingge became able to distinguish Shen Qingqiu’s vague form, what he saw was this master-disciple pair embracing each other, Shen Qingqiu with an expression of helpless doting, and Luo Binghe’s had a face full of clinginess and satisfaction.

This scene both heartwarming and wonderful, but a nameless spark of emotion emerged in Liu Qingge’s heart; however he looked at this image, it remained an affront to his eyes.

Hearing a stray sound, Shen Qingqiu turned to see what it was, but what he got an eyeful of was a Liu Qingge who practically had the words “I am very unhappy” written across his face, exuding an aura that’s even colder than usual.

Holy shit, Boss Liu seems like he’s in a bad mood!? I haven’t pissed him off recently have I? I shouldn’t have?! Why does it look like Boss Liu wants to beat me up?!? Please don’t, you’re going to kill someone like that!!!

Shen Qingqiu’s thoughts were incomparably panicked, but he still put on a calm expression to face Liu Qingge.

He gently helped Luo Binghe out of his arms, forcibly repressed his emotions into composure as he flicked open his fan, and smiled at Liu Qingge, “Oh my, why didn’t shidi inform me ahead of time you were coming to visit? Give shixiong a chance to make some preparations…”

“I have something to say to you.” Liu Qingge’s eyes flickered to Luo Binghe for a moment, “Only to you.”

Shen Qingqiu understood what Liu Qingge meant, and gently told Luo Binghe, “Binghe, shizun has something to chat with Liu-shishu about. You return first, we’ll continue training tomorrow.”

Luo Binghe’s eyes dimmed, quickly concealed his expression, and obediently answered: “Alright, shizun.”

He walked towards the bamboo house, but not before he shot a frigid glare at Liu Qingge full of warning.

Liu Qingge clearly saw that baleful glare. He spared him only a monosyllabic “hmph” before turning his gaze to Shen Qingqiu.

“Alright shidi, Binghe’s already left. You’re free to say what you wanted to say now.” Shen Qingqiu said smilingly.

“When your disciple fell towards you, why didn’t you avoid him?” Liu Qingge asked coldly.

“Ah? Hm? Shidi just wanted to say this?” Shen Qingqiu clearly didn’t expect this was what Liu Qingge wanted to say.

“Why didn’t you avoid him.” His tone became harsher.

Hearing the dissatisfaction in Liu Qingge’s voice, Shen Qingqiu immediately replied, “Ah… this… Binghe’s foot just slipped, it was just an accident. Besides, I can’t exactly just watch Binghe fall, I should catch him…”

Actually, what I wanted to say is that I’m afraid if I don’t catch Bing-ge, he’d come back and reclaim this debt. When the time comes, I’m afraid I’ll face a fate worst than getting carved into a human stick!! Ahhh!

“Even if he’s using slipping as a chance to take advantage of you?”

“Uh… this… Needn’t be cared about…”

Liu Qingge’s countenance darkened even further, approaching Shen Qingqiu until they were close enough feel each other’s breaths.

Shen Qingqiu took a peek at the man standing barely a handspan away, and his hands couldn’t help but tremble.

Oh my god, Boss Liu is terrifying! Someone come save me! QAQ

Suddenly, it seems like Liu Qingge thought of something, and his expression eased a few degrees. But Shen Qingqiu somehow detected a glint of deviousness in his eyes.

“What you just said… does that mean, if it’s due to their feet slipping, you don’t mind being taken advantage of?” his words were coloured with a hint of ill intent.

“Ye-yes…” Shen Qingqiu was suddenly overcome with a bad feeling.

“Then there’s no problem.”

“What do you mean no probl-“he didn’t get to finish his question when Shen Qingqiu saw Liu Qingge falling straight towards him.

Subconsciously, he reached out to support Liu Qingge, but he suddenly felt his feet trip over something and the two of them toppled onto the ground.

All at once, Shen Qingqiu’s back hit the ground, and his lips were also covered with a petal-like softness.

Shen Qingqiu’s eyes widened, his gaze full of shock. Desperately, he tried to resist, but he wasn’t as strong as Liu Qingge in the first place, and unbeknownst to him, his wrists were caught and pinned beside his ears.

Liu Qingge easily parted Shen Qingqiu’s lips, his tongue swept through the inside of his mouth, tasting each and every ridge and crevasse. His tongue chased Shen Qingqiu’s evasive one, coaxing him into a dance between his teeth, not even giving him the chance to catch his breath.

The kiss seemed to go on for an eternity, and only when Shen Qingqiu felt as if there was no more breath within his body did Liu Qingge pull away, an ambiguous silvery thread still lingering between their parting lips.

Shen Qingqiu’s laid with his hair scattered on the ground, his face flushed, and eyes welling with tears and accusations of injustice; his appearance no different from a girl who’d been bullied by an unscrupulous rogue.

“Liu Qingge you! You!”

Liu Qingge gazed down at the bullied looking Shen Qingqiu trapped under him, his eyes full of pleasure and satisfaction. He confidently answered Shen Qingqiu’s unasked question:

“My foot slipped.”

Behind the scenes:

Luo Binghe: “Don’t block me! I’m going to kill him!!!” (Instant blackening)

No TL notes? Isn’t this incredible?

Actually there’s this one part I laughed at. I translated 在一片青葱中看到了他所寻觅的身影 as “spotted the figure he sought amidst a field of greenery” but I had a moment of hilarious confusion when I couldn’t wrap my head around 青葱 as being anything other than spring onions. If you wanted to see that funny image, just replace greenery with spring onions. Of course, everything that happened thereafter would also… occur in this field of green onions. Perhaps this is the sight that would’ve greeted them on the ground? :^)

I’m sorry. I repent.

As usual, props to busyoldfool for doing the legwork and linking me the fic! I promised you guys a translation of the one where they do the papapa… but… we’ll see if I finish translating that or go up in flames first.

I almost ended up blushing myself out of existence just translating this, so who knows how I’ll do with more… explicit stuff…

Once again, I’ve made a whole host of potentially questionable translations and sentence structures, and a lot of stuff that might not have been included in the original text. I was a little put off by the kinda dubcon vibes I was getting so I made a tiny adjustment to the wording.

For the Cursed Server. If you guys want to share, feel free. I need more people in the English fandom to fall in love with our Liu-juju.
